Burger Night at Hypebest FoodHub

Working evening shifts during the weekdays means that the weekend officially begins on Saturday nights. More often than not, I wake up at around 7:00 pm hungry and craving for something.

When I woke up this Saturday, my brothers told me that there's this newly opened store they discovered serving burgers and wings. Although reluctant (me choosing rice over burger all the time), I got up to join them for a brethren night out.

Hypebest FoodHub is a local burger joint and straight up, the food is affordable. The store is just small and is kind of in the soft opening phase, with just wooden tables and chairs for two. Nothing flashy and nothing grand, yet the place has a homey feel to it. I can imagine the place teeming with high school students in the afternoons come August when the new academic year starts.

They serve burgers, wings, fries, and smoothies (millennial vibes on). Oh, and they also have board games and some anime figure statues on display.

We ordered their Beast Burger - beef patty with barbecue sauce, coleslaw, mayonnaise and cheese sauce on burger buns with black sesame seeds. The size of the burger does not astound you, but does not disappoint at all. There's also something about the patty, as it has a subtle Mediterranean taste to it (There's a hint of curry in the patty.). I liked their burger, although it would work better if they'd change the brand of mayonnaise they use. It's more of a sweet dressing than mayonnaise and does little to complement the burger as it already has barbecue sauce.

The Beast Burger is very affordable at Php 75.00 each and served with cheese-flavored nachos.

They also serve mango graham shakes which is perfect for weather (The news said that the rainy season is here but darn, the sun was still blazing and it was still over 83 degrees Fahrenheit this afternoon!). You can get the big cup at Php 75.00.

Aside from these, they also serve wings and fries starting at Php 49.00. Yep, we ordered the Beastmode Treat (10-piece wings with fries at Php 169.00) in two flavors - Salt and Pepper and Buffalo. The wings were cooked just right and the Buffalo sauce definitely got a thumbs up from me. It was really delish and juicy that I forgot to take a photo before we devoured the pieces in under 2 minutes.

You can visit their page for more info.

Bonus info: As confirmed with the owners, they deliver via Lalamove.
