Let the water fill your lungs till it burns. Keep your eyes open even though they sting. Stop waiting for the momentary respite that will never come.

Go on. Sink.

Until every inch of your body is cold. Until you run out of air. Until your feet hit the ground.

And then, kick! Kick because your life depends on it. Kick even when your legs are going numb. Kick until your face breaks through the surface. Kick because you know that there's no way but up.
